Opportunities for Volunteering

Develop your skills by becoming a volunteer at the British Empire & Commonwealth Museum.

Current volunteering opportunities are:

Volunteering in the Curatorial department

The curatorial department relies heavily on volunteers to carryout a lot of the day to day cataloguing and sorting of the collections.

We can offer a variety of experiences to students, graduates, retired people, or anyone who can offer their time regularly each week or full time for at least two months.

Volunteering for the curatorial department will provide experience in collections management. Learn valuable skills such as accessing and editing the database, cataloguing the collections, researching individual items or more general themes, assisting the team with the development of special projects and lots more…

At the same time you will be really helping our department to move on and achieve its aims.
Please send a CV and/or covering letter to:-
The Curatorial Department
