The Museum offers an exciting and diverse programme of events and is also a major venue used by a variety of organisations. Events listed in pink are organised by the British Empire & Commonwealth Museum (BECM).

Tuesday 1st July – Wednesday 30th July A Universal Passion The Museum’s Caffe Gusto Siesta. A small photographic exhibition of musicians and dancers from around the world by Monica Connell. Free.

18 July – 17 August Photographs by Karl Ritchie BECM Photography has been Karl Ritchie’s hobby for 25 years. Born in 1938 in Jamaica, now living in Bristol, Karl captures special occasions, famous figures, family and friends with his camera. A selection of his pictures of key figures and events in Bristol’s African Carribean community will be on display. Included in normal Museum admission. Click here for more.

Saturday 26th July – Tuesday 2nd September Summer Trails BECM Arts based trails around the award-winning galleries, inspired by the Museum’s decorative artefacts. Included in normal Museum admission. Click here for more.
